How to find the best lawn equipment for your next big project
- August 29, 2021
A new trend is to rent lawn equipment, but not just for a summertime.
This trend, dubbed “farm-to-table” or “farm to home,” is starting to hit big cities as well, with a growing number of companies providing equipment for growing your own food.
In the summer of 2018, a company called Farm-to and Home began renting the space in front of its building in West Sacramento for an hour a week for the summer.
The company said it wanted to create an environment that allowed people to grow their own food, and they wanted to share their experience and offer advice.
“Farm-to house” has grown to include everything from composting to growing tomatoes, peppers and cucumbers, and is being done mostly by people with experience in growing or renting.
The concept has even been adopted by local businesses and even a food truck called the Farmer’s Market, which brings produce to the neighborhood.
The idea of growing your food outdoors in a house has also made its way into the home and garden business.
A startup called The Greenhouse in San Francisco is starting up a food-farming company, which will sell food and equipment to people who want to grow vegetables on their own land.
In April, the owners of a small organic farm in New York decided to rent out the space on their property and start producing their own foods for their neighbors.
They said they felt they were not going to be able to make any money from their operation, but they had a unique way of finding out about it.
“We were able to see firsthand what the market for food is doing, and we wanted to be part of it,” the owners, Joanna Lattanzio and her husband Paul, told NBC New York.
“We wanted to take that experience and build a model to help other people in their lives,” Paul Lattanza told NBC.
The Lattanes say that if they could offer any kind of advice, it would be to do research before you buy anything.
“I would say it’s important to find out what the farmer’s market is all about, what it costs, and how much it costs,” Joanna said.
“I don’t want to be a part of that,” Paul said.
“You don’t need me to tell you how to grow it.”
Joanna’s experience of starting a business, like that of many others, is a sign of the times.
As we are in the midst of an economic downturn and a major economic crisis in the United States, there are plenty of companies who are offering their services for free.
In the spring of 2019, the farm-to farm model is expected to grow even more, as businesses are able to sell directly to customers, and it’s becoming easier to find a space for growing food.
While the concept of growing food outdoors is starting out in the home, the landscape of the home is increasingly being changed by the Internet and the ability to share your knowledge.
That’s one reason that the first “farm in the garden” of the new century is already sprouting up all over.
